Orkin is one of the largest pest control companies in the US, operating in 49 states (all except Alaska). Like most national providers, it quotes each home individually after an inspection, so the figures below are reported market ranges and sample quotes, not official prices. This guide explains how Orkin plans are generally priced, what affects your quote, and how Orkin compares with a typical local company. For overall market prices, see our pest control cost guide.

What affects the price
- Plan type. General pest plans cover common insects and rodents; termites, bed bugs and mosquitoes are sold separately or as add-ons, so a plan with termite protection ($500–$1,600 a year) or mosquito service ($30–$100 a month) costs much more.
- One-time or recurring service. A one-time visit ($150–$600) costs more per visit than plan service, but recurring plans are usually annual contracts, and early cancellation may mean paying the remaining balance.
- Region. Prices vary by local branch, labor costs and pest pressure; homes in warm, humid southern climates tend to need more frequent service.
- Home size. Larger homes and lots take more product and time, so a four-bedroom home will usually be quoted higher than a small house or condo.

Ways to save
- Get at least three written quotes, including Orkin, another national company and one or two local firms, and compare price per visit, frequency and contract length.
- Ask whether the inspection fee is credited toward your first service and whether any current promotions apply to the initial visit.
- Choose quarterly or every-60-days service instead of monthly unless you have an active infestation.
- Bundle only the add-ons you need; termite and mosquito coverage can double the annual cost.
- Read the cancellation terms before signing so you're not billed for the rest of an annual contract if you move or switch providers.
How to get an accurate quote
Request a written quote after Orkin's on-site inspection, and get at least two competing quotes. Give each company the same information:
- The pests you've seen and where, with photos if possible.
- Your home's square footage, number of bedrooms and stories, and the size of the lot.
- Which services you want included (general pests, rodents, termites, mosquitoes) and how often.
- Ask for the initial fee, recurring price, contract length, cancellation terms and the guarantee in writing.
FAQ
Does Orkin publish its prices?
No. Orkin prices each home after an inspection based on location, home size, infestation level and treatment method, so the figures here are reported ranges and sample quotes. Always confirm with a local quote.
Is Orkin more expensive than local pest control?
Often slightly. Reported annual plans of $500–$1,000 sit above the national average of $300–$900 for all companies, though per-visit prices overlap. Local quotes can be higher or lower depending on your area.
Does Orkin require a contract?
Recurring general pest control is typically sold as an annual plan, and reports indicate the remaining balance may be billed if you cancel early. Check the terms in your service agreement.
What does Orkin's guarantee cover?
Orkin advertises free re-treatment if pests return between scheduled visits and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Ask which pests and areas are excluded.
